This site takes advantage of information provided by your browser to provide a responsive layout (but we don't log or retain that information).

This choice NOT to use these services is a result of our concern about the widespread collection and commercialization of personal information for commercial gain. Learn more about our privacy concerns.

This data may be collected by other parties including

  • our hosting service;
  • your ISP;
  • your browser; or
  • your VPN service.

Your choice of browser matters. We strongly recommend Mozilla Firefox both because it is open source and because of Mozilla's stand on privacy.

Review your Firefox settings and change your default search engine to StartPage or DuckDuckGo.

We recommend that you read the privacy and cookie policies for each external site before providing any personal information to them.

Most sites track you even before you've read their policies.

Cookies and Tracking

Google, as a third party vendor, has moved away from the DoubleClick cookies to newer, less detectable, tracking mechanisms.

Don't let Chrome's big redesign distract you from the fact that Chrome's invasive new ad platform, ridiculously branded the "Privacy Sandbox," is also getting a widespread rollout&hellp;.

[T]his feature will track the web pages you visit and generate a list of advertising topics that it will share with web pages whenever they ask, and it's built directly into the Chrome browser.

It's been in the news previously as "FLoC" and then the "Topics API," and despite widespread opposition from just about every non-advertiser in the world, Google owns Chrome and is one of the world's biggest advertising companies, so this is being railroaded into the production builds.
Ars Technica

This site does NOT use Google Ads, however, many sites do.

You may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick Cookie for interest-based advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page. Google creates a special tracking link when visiting the “Google Ads Settings” page and you must retain the generated cookie for this setting to be enforced.

New Tracking Methods

Newer technologies like browser fingerprinting and FLoC are rapidly replacing cookies for tracking purposes.

Do Not Track

We support the Do Not Track (or DNT) browser setting but don't respond the Do Not Track signals because we DON'T track site visitors.

Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your browser to let the websites you visit know that you do not want them collecting certain information about you. For more details about Do Not Track, including how to enable or disable this preference, visit the TermsFeed Do Not Track page.

Google Analytics

This Site does NOT use Remarketing with Google Analytics.

Some sites use Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise on third party sites to you after you have visited their site. Third party vendors, like Google, use first party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to such sites.

Google has experimented with FLoC and similar cookie replacement technologies.

You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize the Google Display Network ads. Visit the Google Ads Settings page.

Google also recommends installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for your browser. Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on provides visitors with the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics.

From a privacy point-of-view, adding a cookie or employing a browser add-on to avoid tracking is counterproductive because it can be used to track you.
